Part 1: Inspiring Color Palette

It's a lovely weather today in Dubai! The cool breeze that's embracing us all is a preparation for the lovely winter season that's coming. : )
This weather sweetened my disposition and made me want to post inpiring color palettes. Now ladies, while looking for the right dress and shoes is lovely but figuring out the color palette for the wedding is key which many tend to forget when they sit with the stage designer which leads them to pick whatever color without doing the proper reasearch. Below are a samples of lovely inspiration boards to feast your eyes on.

Easy on the HairSpray

Long gone are the days of the hairstyles that consume so much hairspray that you could almost hear a rip in the ozone layer while Al Gore screaming in agony. Ladies, you need to keep it smooth and touchable, I'm aware that many of us are guilty of wanting over glamorous hair and there's nothing wrong with that. We all want to look gorgeous in any special event let alone a wedding. This is why today I'm sharing with you some sexy inspirations to experiment with.

Loving the half-do side parted look, so delicate yet sexy

Right, no need for the flowers as it could be too much for some but still very cute

And always remember ladies...

The Ultimate Wedding Weapon: A Woman's confidence

The minute we have a family wedding coming up, we instantly think of all the brands we 'ought to' be wearing for the wedding inorder to look (and feel) like a million dirhams...There IS some truth there as weddings don't happen often but I passionatly believe in what my mother and aunt always taught me...'Noora if a woman carries herself in a glamorously confident and regal manner, she can wear just about anything and everyone will think it's a designer wear'. Not to mention my dear friend Reem B stressed on how confidence is key to a woman's beauty, and mashAllah she's a beautiful lady but with the confidence that she blossomed within her....you'd think she stepped of a beauty pageant stage mashAllah.
So Brides and ladies...It's ALWAYS about confidence. Yes you can wear eye-blinding diamonds, climb on the highest Louboutain you can get your hands on, wear a jaw-dropping Zuhair Murad master peice of a gown, but if you don't have the confidence and a sincere smile to carry it off...then you're better off staying home and watching the Fashion Channel to learn how to strut like a real woman! *snap*

Strike a feirce pose, smile, and ye shall be swoon worthy!

Wedding Eww!

Hello my dears. I've decided to have weekly posts known as 'Wedding Don'ts!' or 'Wedding Eww!'. This post will consist of tips and images of what NOT to do in a wedding..unless you enjoy being the talk of the town be it good or bad.
Sadly I noticed that there are some weddings in the UAE (and GCC countries) that go the distance to do something that they think is impressive & unique but they end up looking painfully ridiculous!

Refusing to stop being a bride is like Peter Pan never wanting to grow up! A framed photo of your special day is classy. A pillow and a tote bag with your wedding photo smacked on it? Trashy.

Unless you're part of the Walt Disney Magic Night Parade, throw this into the sea.

I promise you. People will make fun of you for months. Do not request to have a life-size wedding cake of yourself...Look at the bride, even SHE couldn't look at it!

Less is always more: Don't. Just. Don't

Have a lovely Weekend

I believe this is a Monique Lhuillier bridal gown which can also be in a different soft shade if you're not a bride...yet. It does show a little too much skin (an excellent designer can recommend ways to make it less revealing) but it's just jaw-dropping gorgeous! You'll need a body that has been tortured in the gym for months, a step, I'm sure, many of you ladies are willing to take to look stunning in this gown! Have a lovely weekend my dears. ; )
